Attending the Workshop

The goal of our workshops is to teach the student the great art of Thai massage, and to restore life energy and maintain health and wellness by stimulating Sen Sin.

The Workshop Experience

Students learn hands-on techniques to relieve tension, fatigue, stimulate circulation, and restore vitality in the entire body through Thai massage pressure points. A brief background of Thai massage ethics and Sen Sin theory will also be discussed. A detailed workbook will be included.

Classes begin at 9:00 a.m. through 3 p.m. in the hotel meeting room. All hands-on classes will first have a demonstration with an explanation and then a second demonstration to enhance memory. The students will then practice in pairs while the instructors check and make any corrections.

Level 1: Foundations of Thai Massage

This trip focuses on whole body massage (134 positions). It is a 30 hour certification program that enables students to acquire original Thai massage skills for personal benefit and to lay strong foundations for further study at higher levels.

Level 2:  Thai Massage & Thai Reflexology

Level 2 extends the level 1 class and includes 1 full day of Thai reflexology, focusing on pressure points in the hands and feet. Certification will be given for both modalities.

Student Requirements

Class size is limited to 16 students maximum. No smoking or drinking is allowed during class and it is advised you wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing. (T-shirts and sweats are recommended - shorts are not so good for your knees) Also make sure your nails are trimmed and your body clean.

Students are required to complete at least 80% of class attendance, pass a written exam and be able to perform during practice.

Certification

Upon completion of the course, each student will receive a certificate from the Thai Ministry of Education, providing they have met all requirements put forth by the class instructors and TMC.

If you are a member of the NCBTMB, please provide a copy of your certification number and you will receive an additional 30 hour CEU certificate from them.
